Lombok was a bit of an odd place.
The standard of living was low, and being a Muslim island, there were a lot of curious stares. Wearing a skirt was possibly not the best idea.
The countryside was beautiful, and while I voted we went to the resort area, everyone else voted we went to the city centre.
I wouldn't recommend heading there.
There's not really a whole lot to see, and it's quite dirty.
But we managed to stock up on gifts for friends and finally found some Taro chips.
