For All The Things That Friendship Is

Friendship isn't something you can buy, something you can steal, or something you can force.
It isn't something you can fake, something you can borrow or something you can bribe.

Friendship is something you can work on, something you can organically build upon, and something that only ever happens by chance.
There is no planning for friendship. There is no prerogative, and there is no blackmail.

You don't need to see your friends every weekend, you don't even need to see them every month.
Some life long friends are only seen in small fleeting moments, and that doesn't make a friendship any less exclusive or important.

Friends are people who stick around despite circumstance, and can forgive and forget.

No true friendship is ever lost.
It is never paused, and it is never forgotten.

We are all surrounded by friends, all the time.
Friendship needs work, love and care.

It's never gone, sometimes your friends just need a little reminder that you are there for them too.

When ever I feel a bit down or forgotten, I only have to think for less than a second before I know that everyone I love, still cares, I just have to give them a little nudge.

Throughout life we are always finding new people and creating new friendships.
That, I have found, is one of the great rewards that comes with getting older.

To all the good times and good people I love dearly.
Thank you.

xx
