It's not that we don't already know these things. It's simply that sometimes we must be reminded of them.
I was once terrible at dealing with stress. I'm still not brilliant at coping with it, but I've certainly gotten much better. In moments of stress I find myself doing one of two things:
Question: Can I do something about it?
Answer: Yes
Action: Stop worrying about it and start fixing it
Answer: No
Action: Stop worrying about it
Trust me, and try it just once.
